Good Sam vs Allstate Motor Club RV roadside assistance

I've been a member of Allstate roadside assistance for my vehicles or years with decent service when I needed them. They offer a rv plan but trying to get any specific information from their overseas call center is impossible. Basically someone that doesn't have a clue about rv's or how big say South Dakota is and how far it is to get service. Hence I started looking at one of the many GS brochures I receive weekly about their roadside assistance. Anyone have experience with Allstate's rv plan? There are many posts on here loving or hating GS so I have concluded they are not a slam dunk for good service or bad service.
  • Mu thought would be a maintained forest service road would be covered but a logging road would not be. We rolled a truck off a forest service road while deer hunting and that was covered. I doubt if we had done it back in on the logging road we were camped on that they would have come to get us.
    Coach,net looks interesting. Thanks for the link.
    I didn't know GS and Allstate worked together. That clouds the issue even more.

    Allstate does have an RV plan, likely using the same service provider list they use for their Good Sam contract clients.
  • I think you should go read about Coach Net

    and hear.

    Kind of a comical question really because Good Sam contracts with Allstate to operate the Good Sam ERS. You can also purchase Allstate through KOA although unlike Good Sam, KOA tells you it is Allstate.

    Thanks
    One concern when reading the brochure;
    When the service provider arrives:
    1.
    Provide your membership card to the service provider;
    2.
    Sign the service provider’s receipt for covered expenses up to
    your benefit limit.2
    2 Expenses which are not covered include, but are not limited to: Recovery expenses due to accident,
    fire or flood; parts, products, storage, or gasoline; service(s) performed in a dealership, garage, or service station; service(s) performed in areas not regularly traveled (such as sand beaches, open fields, forests and areas not passable due to construction); service(s) needed due to an act of nature,
    etc.; charging a battery or delivery and repair of tires.

    NOTICE YOU ARE NOT COVERED IN FORESTS; What does that mean? Forest service roads? Campgrounds off the forest service road. Apache trail in the Tonto National forest?
    Ambiguous at best

    Good Sam will pay for delivery of tire Allstate will not. With Good Sam you pay for the tire but the delivery is part of your service

    I am not making a quality of service statement just trying to figure out what I am reading
  • The problem with Allstate is there is no where to see the terms of the contract on the web.
    At least with GSRA you can see what you are buying very easily.

    Allstate does not post theirs as far as I can find
  • People will argue about which is better, coach net or Good Sam. Most, not all, would probably agree that for RV'S both are better than others.
