Got a great grill at BJ's Wholesale Club today

I was just about ready to buy the Master Forge at Lowe's that's $79 until I found this one at BJ's. It has 275 sq in cooking area, twin 10,000 BTU burners, all stainless steel with locking lid, and came with the hose and regulator for standard LP gas tanks. It was $99, but they sent me a coupon book with one that said $30 off ANY gas grill, so it came out to $69! Can't wait to try it out. It's called a Heritage twin burner portable gas grill.

  • Think I need to try it out. It has flame arrestor/diffusers too, so I would think it will do a decent job. Heck, I've been using a $10 Walmart globe style charcoal grill for two seasons!

I'm not suggesting you lug the Road trip around, it is too big for that.
I keep the road trip in the RV at all times and have a different grill for home.
Based on all the comments and my own experience I think you'd be better off returning the SS model and getting a Q or something else.
People really seem to love the Q
  • I have that grill (different name but looks exactly the same) been using it 2 seasons and works great for us. Plenty of power and heat to sear steaks and enough cooking surface to feed plenty on football tallgate weekends. Adapted mine to run off the low pressure aux propane hookup on the FW. Stores easily in the basement storage.

  • I believe I read your other post on the subject. I had basically the same grill. In the end the only thing good about it was the price.
It did cook OK but it was very hard to clean and the heat distribution was uneven.
I sold it on Craigslist at the end of the season for $50.00 and bought a better grill. I settled for a Coleman Road Trip which was not as highly rated or as expensive as the Weber Q.
I have been very satisfied with the Roadtrip thus far.

You maybe happy with the stainless grill however I was not. I was lured in by the stainless steel as well. In the end I got what a pad for.... a cheap grill.
Hopefully you will have better luck than I did.
  • I bought many grills, some good, some bad, then I bought my Weber Q…
I used cost as an excuse many times and would have saved a good bit had I just bought the Q…
I not saying there aren’t other grills worthwhile, or even better, but I don’t even slow down walking through the grill isle anymore (well I have slowed down from age, but that is everywhere I go)…
I hope your new grill exceeds your expectations to, it’s a good feeling and it’s a good looking grill… looks like it will store well to…
Let us know how well it works when you get a chance to use it……
  • Yea, I definitely didn't want to spend quite that much understanding the Weber Q is a great grill. This thing is all stainless and after hearing great things about the Lowe's grill, I figured this could only be better. Here's a pic of the box
  • I already own a Weber Q and likely will never have to buy another grill as the thing is indestructible. Glad you found something that will work for not much money. The Q is expensive.
