The rack is in the drawer under the sofa just about mid cabin over the wheels. Been using it for a couple of years (holds 14 bottles) and no issues so far.
As far as 12 bottles for 9 days, when you go to a restaurant for a single meal does the wine list only have one bottle ;)- I like your bare essentials.

- 12 bottles of wine for 9 days? What if a thirsty person camped next to you? Better carry a spare or two.
