In our older 5er, I would pull off the pump inlet line from the water tank and just stick that line into a gallon of pink stuff and pump it into the system.

yup, that's what I also did on the TT a I had before.

Just did this for the first time last week on our new to us 5'ver. Works really slick.

Of course since we have extreme cold here I took it one more level and blew out the lines after the pink stuff. Always amazed at how much clear water comes out prior to the pink when you do this. And, this was after pumping pink through the lines and seeing it come out the faucets. Don't know where that clear water hides. :h

I would love a real winter, and four true seasons, but here in Western Washington we roll all winter long, this is when you can be spotanious and still get a campsite on a Friday night after work.

When we see cold weather coming we just use the low point drains, pour a little RV antifreeze in the traps and set the heat real low, cause nothing stays frozen very long.

Sorry you have to put yours away for a half year, but hey, wax up those skis and dig those winter warmies out and enjoy the wonderful NE winter for all it's worth. All the best, Hans

X2, except mine is at a storage yard, so when it does get cold I blow the lines. We also like to go out at a moments notice.

You're welcome to my share of our Pennsylvania winters. I'll even throw in late fall and early spring. :)

It's that time of year. I'll be winterizing our Southwind in the next few weeks. :(

  • Not my coach but it is my garage.

This is how I winterize… much easier and I can use it all winter long.

I have a newer version of the FT in front of it. I have a 50 amp plug and am happy to have RV friends stay the night.
