You sure those stains were on the outside of your shorts? :E

That white grease comes in a spray bomb which to me would make application easier.

Better buy a box of shop rags while your at it 'cause it does get all over the place if your not careful. Then you have the problem of how to store those greasy WDH bars and hitch when at the campground, all while not contaminating them with dirt. I lay my bars across the battery box and put the hitch on the ground with a zip lock baggie on the ball. I have a bike lock cable that I put thru the chains and hole in the hitch and then around the A frame to secure them. works great for me.

I was gifted some Reese's trailer ball lube and it works fine on my E2. Prior to the Reese's i used marine bearing grease.

They both have the same attractiveness to denim or shins.

Doesn't it matter what WDG you have? My E2 only needs grease on the "ball ends", at the hitch. I never grease the pads which the bars ride and help any sway situation. This may quiet things down, but the trade off isn't worth it!

That about sums it up! We have an E2 trunnion wdh. The owners manual stated to grease the "knobs" that go I of the hitch head but didn't say what kind of grease. I called them and was told to use a heavy bearing grease. Bought a tub at Wally World for next to nothing and it will last for years. The manual did warn to never grease the part of the bars that provide the friction for sway control.

Is it sticky and slippery? If so, it will work.

For this particular application it's probably overkill, as you can buy a whole 1lb gun tube of cheap lithium grease for about $2, and the little tube of caliper grease probably cost you $20, but it will work just as well.

All you need is something "greasy." Crushed garnet will not work, for example.
