Grills that hang on the side wall of the trailer

I have a question for those of you who have a grill that hangs off the side of your trailer. Does the wall behind or above your grill get hot, does it get greasy and has it discolored in any way? ...

I used an RVQ grill for five years with my old rig. Never any discoloration or heat issues. It was at the edge of the awning. I was able to stay dry if it rained. The RVQ was very convenient. In some ways I wish I still had it.
