Grills that hang on the side wall of the trailer

I have a question for those of you who have a grill that hangs off the side of your trailer. Does the wall behind or above your grill get hot, does it get greasy and has it discolored in any way? ...

I used an RVQ for 8 years under the awning and never had any problems either. My new rig doesn't have any type of outside grill and I do miss it. I use the tabletop Coleman 2 burner with the little bottles now and it's just not the same.
