Grills that hang on the side wall of the trailer

I have a question for those of you who have a grill that hangs off the side of your trailer. Does the wall behind or above your grill get hot, does it get greasy and has it discolored in any way? ...

Thanks to all who replied, I am still considering weather to do this or not. I like some of the newer style camp grills that come with a folding stand. Will let y'all know what we end up with.
