Grills that hang on the side wall of the trailer

I have a question for those of you who have a grill that hangs off the side of your trailer. Does the wall behind or above your grill get hot, does it get greasy and has it discolored in any way? ...

I've had mine for 6 years and use it all the time. I've never had any problems of any type, sides of the trailer, awning, smoke detector, etc.
