Grills that hang on the side wall of the trailer

I have a question for those of you who have a grill that hangs off the side of your trailer. Does the wall behind or above your grill get hot, does it get greasy and has it discolored in any way? ...

About the smoke. No matter what I grill I place a sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil on the rack. This keeps all the grease from burgers, juices and marinades from dripping into the flame. Works for us and my grill does not look nasty with grease splattered all on the inside. Very little smoke if you do this and everything I BBQ comes out fine. At least wife and kiddos never complain so I assume all is good. :)
