GVWR/Towing capacity question
This new Dodge lists the GVWR at 6,350lbs and a towing capacity of 9,200lbs. I thought your GVWR was your towing capacity. Help in layman's terms? Thanks folks... -Doug

No Dodge there, but a Ram Truck. 9200 is what it can pull with a flat bed trailer of low stuff with 10% tongue weight. Travel trailers are a different breed of trailers. I personally take "tow rating" with a grain of salt. You will max out something else before you reach 9200 pounds. Not saying, a lot of people are a little over, but the weight police will put me in the pen for that.
