Good to hear your blood work looks good, I too am fighting that LDL.
On your blood work, did they check your thyroid? From all my reading on A Fib, I have found If your TSH is high it can effect your A Fib, I had to insist that mine to be checked. The Docs at first said that it didn't matter but when I insisted it came back a little high, they put me on a very low dose and man oh man after a couple weeks my whole mood changed and I felt better.
I was skeptical at first because I had none of the symptoms of thyroid problems.
I like Modracer am on Amiodarone, that and Warfin. As I said in my previous post I went thru the whole list of drugs from the least effective, Beta Blockers which made my heart slow down to the point that I felt like a zombie to all the others, I won't bore you with the list... All the way to a new drug that was only approved in the US a year ago, Multaq, I was given it free as part of the testing for a few months, then I had to buy it. It is very expensive but my insurance picked up most of the tab.
It was to replace Amiodarone, that has some bad side effects but it has some drawbacks too, it had to be taken twice a day about 12 hours apart and if you missed one it was hard to get back on track and A Fib would come back. It was good for about a year then stopped working. So now I am back to the Amiodarone.
I will live with this for now as long as the A Fib is under control, nothing is worse than having the feeling like your heart is going to jump out of your chest an your blood pressure is so low that just walking a few steps makes you feel like you are going to pass out. For the next 12 hours.
Sorry for the long post, but I just wanted to share some things and if anyone has any questions that I can help with I will
Gotta go....Feeling so good that I can now go back to my daily bike ride.
Oh and as someone said about not wanting to be a pill popper, I didn't take any pills til my early 60's when this popped up.
