I have been using cpap for 15 years. VA gave me my last one at no cost. Mine sits on floor in the RV and on the night stand in the house. It's been to Paris, London, Montana, southern California and up and down the West Coast. I can only sleep about 10 or 15 minutes without it. My wife was concerned because I would my breath up to a minute or so, then she would kick me to wake me up.
My big mistake was putting it in the closet in our old 5th wheel, thought that was real smart, but always ended up with headache and feeling sickly. Found out when we sold it that there had been a water leak and there was mold behind the wall near the cpap. After we got the new Montana I was very pleased that the headaches are all gone.
Takes awhile to get used to the headgear but now I never sleep without it for 15 years.
Good luck and good night!
