- lat471ExplorerSome years ago the group we were with all teamed up and decorated 1 site instead of 6. We had a smoke machine, a strobe light, music from the X factor, a pumpkin ladder. One of the guys even made a cardboard coffin to lay in and rise from. We also had a big pot hanging over the fire which was actually our group stew for dinner. We had a ball and won the campground prize. We gave it the guy who kept rising out of the coffin. He couldn' move the next day. We had witches, warewolves, and a few other customed people wandering the site. Some of the little kids would look in and sent their parents in for the trick or treats. By the end of the night the teenagers where shouting for Otis, Otis our old guy in the coffin. Great time. When were alone it's a lot less preperation and we go to see everybody elses site(lets see where the heck is my werewolf mask) Enjoy the season.:B

- northmeck0255ExplorerLast year at Ocean Lakes, one group did a particularly outstanding job. They basically recreated the Michael Jackson "Thriller" video set. They used bags of topsoil and mulch to make "graves", had the dry ice for fog, zombies, etc. It was pretty impressive!

Put up a movie screen and show oldtime scary flicks on there.
Maybe dry ice fog with lazer lites.
Or whip up a giant black spider standing over the whole camp.
Maybe just a bunch of medium sized spiders crawling over yer camp.
My neighbor bought a huge bag of large scary rats to put all over the place.
I think he got them at party city.
X2 GREAT IDEAS!!
The scary movie screen idea sounds fun. Old time Lon Chaney movies would especially be fitting since he has an avid outdoorsman with a cabin in the Eastern Sierras (near Big Pine, CA)

Next to the cabin video are some free movies you could probably download and show.
Some info about the cabin for those interested:

- portscannerExplorerWith the AMC Walking Dead so popular, I was going to go for a zombie theme and bring my Mother in law.
