Sounds like the "tips" my uncle used to pull when I was young. I remember one time he glued a quarter to the concrete pad. People would come by and chat and banter, then they'd exclaim, "Well look there! There's a quarter," while bending to pick it up. The look on their face was priceless when they couldn't lift it.
