I just wanted to share my snack set-up. The only drink holders we had for the driver were indentions in the center console's pull-out table, which are not only too far away for the driver to safely reach, but they will not always keep a drink upright in a moving vehicle. We also wanted something convenient so the driver can have a snack and a place to keep it.
The basket and the plastic containers came from The Container Store. We can easily remove it when we need to lower the window. The folding drink holder is screwed to a small square of wood that was painted black, and is held onto the glass pane with enough industrial Velcro to completely cover the wood. The wood was one of those pre-cut craft pieces from Hobby Lobby. It has been in place for 4 years and has never come loose. There is a sticker on the glass on the outside to hide the glue side of the Velcro.
