Washing those huge front windows on the motorhome is a real pain. Reaching up with a normal stick about 4 feet long with a squegee to wash the bugs off is difficult at best. I bought a painters pole that easily reaches to the top while I stand several feet in front which keeps the water off me and gives me great leverage to press on the bug scratcher side of the squegee. The long pole is great for washing the sides too when I put a brush on the end. Once done the pole will collapse. The quality of the pole is worth the money and I can press hard without fear of bending or breaking it. Wish I had thought of it years ago.
