A bump for this useful thread, an interesting product, and a maintenance tip....
The product... I was at HD buying Super Glue when I noticed a new (to me, anyway) Loctite product, "Plastics Bonding System". It's a two-part system, activator/primer and 'Super Glue 2' that claims to bond polyethylene and polypropylene! The glue is in a standard small super glue tube, the primer in a slightly bigger bottle. Other than being clean and dry, there are no special requirements for surface prep. For $3.77, what the heck... I'll keep it around. It's probably too small to fix something like a major tank leak, but maybe... Don't take this as a recommendation, since I haven't tried it yet.
The tip... I had a back-up light out on the Tiger. They use a standard Bargman tail light with two brake/turn & tail lights, and the backup in the center. I found an old pack of 1156 Bulbs in a drawer (tagged $1.39 for two ;)). When I was installing it, I noticed that the _inside_ of the lens was somewhat dirty. I pulled the two brake light lenses and they were even worse, and the bulbs were dusty. A few minutes work resulted in all six lenses making a trip to the sink and being scrubbed out. Much better and brighter! I'd already cleaned out the top clearance lights while waxing, but hadn't thought of the tail lights.
