We've had a white board on our house refrigerator ever since they became available. One of the 1st 'modifications' I made to our 5er. Very best thing in the world to leave notes, shopping list items, &c.

(I had trouble with the technology when the world was analog) These now not-so-new "smart phones" have all kinds uses like this, one of the few features I've been able to master with it. Take, save & share pics (used to write an annual 'Dad's Christmas list' for the kids & grandkids, now send them a photo album). Free apps available can scan bar codes and tell you where else that item is available and what the comparative prices are.
