In case you are still reading this thread now that it has been contaminated with chit chat, I have to move the C's seats forward to put up a thermal barrier that I made from reflexic to close off the cab in colder weather. I can see your problem. We lost our awning puller at some campsite and I bought a telescoping one to replace it. I bet that would work better than the cord on your seat release. I might even try it myself!
