Use Press and seal wrap to create a double pane on your windows by sticking it to the frame. It can't be shrunk but can be pulled fairly taunt while you apply it.
Larger windows that need more than one sheet are fine but seal the seem before putting up the whole sheet.
The next morning you can pull them off with ease and not leave any tape or sticky stuff to deal with.
