At my workplace we get dozens of lost cameras every year with people's travel, wedding, graduation, etc. - pics that can't be replaced, and we have no way of knowing how to get in touch with them.
I would limit that contact information to a cell phone number or a work number. Home land line numbers can be reverse looked up and if you address is there, well, they know you're not home to protect the rest of your stuff.
Very good advice... a name, phone number & an e-mail address are all you want to list. Same goes for luggage. We also leave the same info on paper inside the luggage in case a tag falls off.
