I recently watched a video on detailing cars, which showed how the use of grade 4 steel wool to polish the glass. They also used RainX in the process. Sorry, but I no longer have the link.
Link is Youtube. How to: Super Clean Your Windshield. Tried it this weekend. It worked except the 12 year old truck windshield is permanently pitted. Can image that many rocks have pitted the windshield though.
My truck is just years old and its windshiled is pitted like that. I drive the interstate every day to and from work so that doesnt help matters. Only time I really notice it is when im driving directly in the sun.
