So here is two tips in one. ;)
I see people asking what to protect the walls around the stove. I haven't gotten around to fitting something more permanent so a few strips of Glad press and seal does the trick until I stop being lazy. These were up ten days.

The second tip was a accident. While using the oven we had the two pots over the vents and had free hot water for doing the dishes.
BTW Dinner was baby back ribs with a dry rub and topped with brown sugar, slow roasted for 3 1/2 hours plus Zucchini and summer squash fried in butter. Not in pic is corn on the cob and baked potatoes done in the oven with the ribs.
