Lighter fluid creates too much excitement when used to start the two woodstoves every cold season morning here on the place. No sense in making yet another fire starting system just to start campfires while camping when the homemade fire starters work fine. Plus it makes good use of resources, less waste.
Of course in the old days I'd use road flares for starting campfires, love the smell and colorful flame of those.:)
