I can't imagine going through all the effort to make fire starters. Heck the candles have cost and the mess and time spent not a good thing.
I've always just made a fire (two matches max) with small sticks found in the woods and small branches. If I were to do it at home every day I'd use a propane torch to start the kindling.
I only burn in the fireplace in the fall and spring but with an ad from the local mailing and a little pine and a match I'm good to go.
Oh well, just an old boy scout I guess. Eagle with bronze palm so kinda was into it though, LOL.
