I noticed that new tow bars have channels for safety cables and the wiring harness built in so you don't have to take them apart and store them every time you disconnect your toad. So I though, why not do the same with my old tow bar.
I ran my safety cables along each arm of my tow bar and zip tied them into position. Now I don't have to hook up my safety cables to my motorhome or cross them over under the tow bar. It stays permanently attached in the proper position tied to the tow bar. It saves me time and effort.
As soon as I have the chance, I'll do the same thing with the wiring harness. But that's a little trickier because I have the curly Q pigtail and I'll need to purchase a straight cable and make sure it's the right length.
