hanging pictures on wall

I don't want to put nails in the wall. I have tried velcro tape, doesn't hold for long.
The things I want to hang are not very heavy. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ann
  • Another vote for Command Strips. We've used them to hang up towel hooks and they work great.

Side note, I've also used them when I had the old plaster walls in an apartment, they work great for that too.

  • If you use stickum, it will mark up/ruin the wall surface. one small hole and those "J" (sorta) shaped hooks will work. easy to "patch" the small hole. nails in wall are better than stickum. those stick and peel (or peel and stick) easy release jobbies also would work.

  • Command Hooks, been using them for years and years now. Current camper has one hanging on the door handle. I put it there to hold the outside thermometer wireless sensor. That Command Hook has been there over 4 years now, in all kinds of weather and has not come off.

We have several inside the camper we use for different purposes. Put one on each side of the bed to hold a night robe for easy access. They've been holding those robes for 4 years now, even bumping down the road.

Command Hooks are probably your best. If hanging picture frames, use the hook, then add a bit of double sided tape to the back corners of the frame and attach to the wall. This will keep them from flinging off when in transit.
  • 3 M Command Strips Have used them for pictures, coat hangers, even paper towel dispenser, nothing has come loose in over 5 years, and you can take them off without doing any damage to the walls, and yes I have tried that and was very successful,no damage at all.
  • I've been told command strip hooks work very well. I've been wanting to try it but haven't gotten around to it.
