I have the hand crank type that came with the trailer about 8 years ago. I have never quite seen the need to have an electric jack. I usually find something else I would rather have for the $100 or $200, but to each his own. I was just making a comment on something that just sounded weird to me. I buy recondidtioned parts for my car (like a water pump) because they wear out and a recon is cheaper than a new. It just seems odd that there would be such a thing as a reconditioned electric jacks. I would expect to buy one and it last forever, or it wasn't worth a hoot to begin with.
