You get what you pay for. On the other side of the coin, You don't always need a Lincoln Town Car, sometimes a Ford Focus will do the job. Case in point, I have an $80 air compressor that has been working just fine for about 10 years, but I only need it a few times a month for mundane tasks. Same for my cut-off saw, air nailer, drill press, 2-ton jack, etc. My cordless tools are Makita, Dewalt, or Ryobi, I use them a lot.
Harbor Freight will still get my money, I know when I walk in the door that the stuff is cheap quality, (THAT'S WHY IT'S CHEAP) :S, but if I pay $20 for something & it lasts me for 5 years, then i'm way ahead of the game, rather than paying $300.00 for an item for something to do the same job, that may, or may not last as long.If it only lasts 2 weeks, then i'm only out $20.
