I am expecting delivery tomorrow for a Powerhorse 2000w inverter generator from Northern Tool. Rated at 52 db, $569 and free shipping. It has good reviews.
Northern tool is wrong about the 52 db.
Zero load is 56 db
Full load is 66 db
I misspelled the name... it's Powerhorse, not Powerhouse, and both Amazon and NT spec it at 52db. It's still equivalent to Honda/Yamaha and $400 less. Mine will almost never be at full load anyway. It's mostly just for when the solar panel doesn't get enough charge on the battery to run the slide and tongue jack when breaking camp. We don't use the microwave when camping, and if we need AC we will be parked where we have shore power (generator won't run the AC anyway).
I've never heard of Powerhorse, that is a good db rating. I see they are parallel ready which is a plus.
