you may need two things to solve your problem
1) a water softener. that will remove calcium and magnesium and help a great deal, however, it does not remove all the elements that give water spots.
2) a dionizer. that will remove the rest of the stuff that gives spots.
A water softener can be recharged using salt. The deionizer isn't rechargeable, you replace the resin.
you can either do a whole house water softener, or get a portable one and see how it works. If needed get a deionizer.
