Has anyone had a run in with any WILD animals?

About 2 miles back on a hiking trail we ran into this buffalo, was a bit scary as we had no idea what one does when you run into a buffalo in the wild. He was about 25 yards off to the side of the trail. This was the 2nd one we encountered, the first was about 10 yards away when we came around a small bunch of little pines, but no picture. For that one we back tracked.
