Over the last 30 or so years camping we have had many experinces with wildlife.Large snake {non -posionus} under my wifes feet.Took several days to recover from that one! A dozen or more raccoons invaded our campsite in tyler state park TX one evening during dinner at the picknick table. They succeded in taking most of the food from us before we made a hasty escape to the camper.Once camping on the blueridge pky a whitetail doe stole potatos from our out door table while my wife was cooking dinner. In a forest service campground in the Yukon a local squirrel stole my cup of hot choclate in a covered mug from the picknick table.Near lake louise BC we saw a very large grizzly bear charge a group of people from a tour bus.It was a bluff charge just enough to put everyone of them back in the bus in about 3 seconds. One time in yosemite a large bird possibly a grey jay tried landing on my wifes head it thought she had food for it in her hand, that one did not go over very well with her.On another trip to yosemite a black bear riped the tent in the next campsite into little bits after it entered to retrive the guys cooler, the tent collapsed and he became traped. It was total pandemonium man and bear both in the tent by the time the ranger showed up it was all over the bear was gone, cooler and tent destroyed, the poor guy was up on top of a nearby restroom building and refused to come down untill daylite. As for our big foot story you would probally not believe me if I told you about it anyway.
