Has anyone had a run in with any WILD animals?

We have had the usual buffalo and elk encounters, but got scolded and growled at by a danged marmot near a campground we hosted in SD. Never had any of marmots we dealt with in two summers do this. They would stop and look at you and the move on if you got close. Apparently this one had claimed this area near the Stockade South CG as his own. He would vocalize, sort of a growl if we got closer than he wanted, but would also begin this 'bark' kinda sound the moment we came into view.
