Well there was that one trout, man he could really fight.
Have seen bears but smart enough not to confront them. Several years ago as a young man camping in Kings Canyon in a van my buddy and I were awakened in the middle of the night by scratching and shaking of the van. Smart enough not to open the door to look (was one of those old windowless vans). Next morning we did notice some scratch marks on the side of the van. Assumed it was a bear. As a kid once in Yellowstone we had a bear come through the campground at lunch time and raid some college kids camp. Like idiots they were trying to chase it off, fortunately someone intervened. The bear got what it wanted and wandered off.
