- suprzExplorerWe have one, used it a few times. Works great! I didn't want to put holes in the side of the RV, so I went to harbor freight and got one of their suction cups (orange plastic one) and that works very well. I position it up so that it takes some of the weight off the exhaust tube also

Sometimes we fire up to make coffee or run the microwave, in those circumstances we do not use the Genturi.
If running longer periods like a couple hours for battery charge, I always use the Genturi. We have been gassed by our own generator when wind/breeze conditions were right. - mrw8iExplorer

In other words, how about boondock camping with your RV being the only one around and you want to run your air conditioner for several hours in the middle of the day ... even if your built-in generator is well installed in that it's not under a slide, and has relatively low noise and vibration levels inside the coach?
I've thought about buying one but never followed through because we very rarely camp in close quarters with other RVs.
Yes. We do mostly high desert camping, where it can get really windy and the wind direction can change hour to hour, so you never know which way to face your trailer to minimize the affect. If the wrong direction it blows exhaust fumes into the trailer, through every little nook and cranny, I've sealed a lot of nooks and crannies.
In really high winds, some of the exhaust will still get blown away from the large genturi tube at the bottom of the large tube (there is a gap to allow cooler air to be drawn into the large tube). So you might get some exhaust gases escaping the "genturi" effect. I might move the tube a bit close the gap, but I don't want the large tube to get too hot. - mrw8iExplorer

I have used gen overnight in snow storms with heavy winds.
We have used our built-in generator almost all night in the opposite situation of trying to get some sleep using the air conditioner in the unbearable heat and humidity of the Southern U.S. in August.
I keep all fumes out of the coach when running the generator simply by maintaining air pressure inside the coach as I describe in my earlier post above.
I'd like a Genturi ... except for a couple of possible downsides:
1. I have a hard time accepting putting attachment bracket holes in the skin of the coach - leaks are enough of an issue already in RVs.
2. Do you need a ladder in order to fasten the Genturi's tube to it's upper attachment bracket?
I use the suction cups, however at some I'll attach the hooks to the side of the trailer, probably use an adhesive to do that.
No ladder. The hooks are only on the lowest tube, so for me the hooks are about 6 feet off the ground. The hooks are there to keep the weight off the generator exhaust pipe, but my generator exhaust pipe is supported at the end of the pipe so I don't need weight support. So the hooks are just used to keep the genturi pipes vertical, not to so much hold the weight of the genturi pipes. - bigred1cavExplorerNo holes to drill attaches with adhesive. Nice setup, a problem in take down. IT IS HOT so it must be let cool a long time. I sometimes pour ice water from cooler to make it handleable to put in case and stow. Mostly it is used when we do the display for summer Veterans at events. They are usually hot and on blacktop.

We use the Genturi whenever I start the Generator. More than once when we first got the RV, I would run the Generator and the Carbon Monoxide Alarm would go off(thank god it was in the middle of the afternoon and not in the night) "Don't leave home without it!" - bigred1cavExplorerI purchased one when it was on sale. I find it very useful when we are in need of running Gen while stationary. I would not run gen when sleeping without such a device to send exhaust away from coach.
I have used gen overnight in snow storms with heavy winds.
