Might be interesting to watch the Tesla semi reveal tomorrow night. Lots of rumors of 300 to 400 miles range towing 40,000 pounds. Maybe a possibility for a 30,000 pound class A. Have to wait for the specs to come out though. It will be on you tube the following day. Interestingly enough some of the designs for the new Tesla Superchargers are looking like they are designed for some LARGE vehicles. Also owners lounges, restaurants etc. Who knows, maybe Elons got a plan. :). They'll be pricey though. Lets say a 300 KWH battery at a 100 bucks a KWH. There is your first 300 thousand bucks. Of course no Cummins Diesel or Allison Transmission so some cost savings there. Super low maintenance costs, regenerative brakes etc. Super quiet, lots of power, no fumes. An overnight stay at a camp ground wound not charge you up but lots of people stay a few days in one place. Power would have to be metered in the campsites and there would probably be some incentive for camp grounds to eventually add some 100 amp 240 volt sites. You never know. We are looking to downsize so it would not be for us but if you can get something like a Winebago Via 25P with 300 miles range on total electric we would be interested. I think the next 10 years will be interesting. Go Elon. :) Personally I think a high end Motorhome integrator company will be first to the plate. Somebody already put a trolley type tour bus on a Tesla X chassis.
