Just heard today of a small car dealership in Michigan that has fewer than 40 employees and doesn't have to provide health insurance but does. Before O-Care
they paid the total cost for all employees that needed insurance. The premiums went up so much that they couldn't afford it anymore so the gave each employee 2400.00/year to spend on the insurance they will have to buy on the exchange. At least one of the employees is facing a premium of $1200.00/month. Just another unintended consequence of a law passed without understanding its impact.
