we've found that the VA mail meds doesn't have a process in place to send meds to a different address. We tried it once and the next meds that were shipped also went to that address and we were no longer there. They didn't change the address back to our home address after the shipment. The pharmacy in Tampa will allow a once a year "vacation" dispensation of meds and will give enough to last until you return. We get 90 days supply at a time so if they give us an extra 90 days we have 6 months before we have to worry. We try to get enough before we leave but if we don't, we tell our daughter it's coming and we stay put for a couple of weeks so she can overnight it to us. That seems to work the best for us.
