These are brutally strong hitches. They are not cheap, not light, but they do have a top that comes off first, and a bottom.

I have a relatively small fifth wheel, but it's heavy. My truck is sturdy and strong. I find even at 26 feet long on a long box super cab, it's still a beast back there. I cannot imagine that a rig your length on a short box is going to be easy. Your driveway sounds like a challenge too.
Get a smaller rig so you feel comfortable, one with big wheels and strong axles, and one with a huge carrying capacity so you can pack the tent to put the kids and grand kids in.
Moving a rig that size (36 feet) isn't something you want to do often. Even getting spots to put it isn't always easy. I would look at used and test your truck with it. It sure isn't a cake walk compared to a pop up.
