TO THE OP;IF you are hoping to have us guide you in the right direction then We need to know something about your intended use. For me as I travel long distance I would prefer the tag axle as I feel you might get some extra stability.

Personally....42 over 40..check. Tag over non-tag, check.One thing to look into, there have been some turbo issues on the 425 HP Cummings and before jumping I would look into this a bit further and talk with Cummings direct as well as checking to see if this particular coach has had it replaced with the updated unit.

I reckon the tag gives you a bit more weight capacity, better towing experience too. It probably has a little less bin room because of the extra axle. As Darsben said, if you are a traveller, the tag will feel good, but if you are a drive and then park, you might not feel the same about the extra tires.

Hi... Thanks. Yes, we are aware of one of the recalls. The turbo issues you are referring to.... Was that a recall, or just a problem on the 425?

If I had to choose between those two, A. Campgrounds do have limits and there would already be too many limited by the 40'. I wouldn't want to make it worse. But, I am all about location, location, location...

If all else was equal I'd go with the tag; more stable, should be better riding, longer.

Having said that, without knowing the make of each I wouldn't give you a final answer.

Just because they're the same on paper, it's what's you can't see that matters most.
