Don't over think it. A fiver does tow better right out of the box , however with a HA or PP a TT will tow just as well.
I have a 39'- 5'er now my prior rig was a 39' 11k GVW TT that I towed with a HA.
My prior TT was veery stable and towed just as well as my current rig.
If you are worried about cab contact get an auto slider.
Don't focus on the mishaps you read about, focus on the fun.
Learn from the mishaps and move on.
If I worried about everything that could happen, I'd never pull out of the driveway!
Truth is I can't wait until the next time I can hitch up and pull out of the driveway! Come on Spring/March
