Help Me Find GOOD Fresh Water Hoses

One thing I should have added in my post, two above, was that most the hose manufacturers have in the fine print or when you ask them about leaving the hose under pressure they will recommend that that it is not suppose to be left under pressure. So much for using it for full timing.

If you find one tell me. I got one guaranteed not to kink but in order not to kink it is very stiff and heavy and a real bear to coil up especially when cold. To me, handling that damn hose is one of the most distasteful things to manage while RVing. I wish there were 1 of those new pocket hoses safe for drinking as they are a dream to handle. I look forward to the replies.

X2. Here is a link to CW that sells them. Used them for over 8 years now without problems. And no, they do not kink.

Never Kink

I purchased a great hose this spring from the http//rvwaterfilterstore? I bought a 50ft 5/8 hose with solid brass fitting. It cost a little more than the box store hoses but we'll worth it.
The reasons I bought this one was the solid brass filling (you can also get stainless steel) and the guaranteed 200 psi and carry the NSF portable water rating. I got tired of the cheap hoses fittings leaking all the time, even with new gaskets.

We volunteer at a local state park, so the hose is exposed to the hot Kansas summers and I haven't seen 1 drip from the fittings

I keep my hose on a reel originally used for large quanity of coax cable. I roll out what I need and leave the rest on the roll. I also drain the water and hook the ends together to keep clean and area dry. Worked for many years

I vote for this post. This procedure is very important. Plus, when I buy a new RV hose from Walmart I replace the cheapo washers in the end with some good quality rubber hose washers from the hardware store. (not the plastic washers) Have never had any problems.

Drinking water hose

I have the same hoses I purchased from CW 7 years ago, a 25' white water hose and a 25' flat reel type water hose. Both have never leaked and currently have no plans to replace them.

Reel type always lays flat and water is removed while reeling in and the regular white hose has always been wound the same way so the curves are naturally set with no kinking.

I have one just like this but don't remember the brsnd. Great quality but very stiff and difficult to roll up, especially when cold.
