I have lived in California all my life. The drivers are sometimes nuts here. When I tow, I stay at 55 mph. I do the speed limit all the time. CHP would rather us go 55 towing. It's hard to slow down and pull off, then get back up to speed. That is more dangerous than having cars backed up. There is always someone that goes faster than anyone else. You go 65, they want to go 70. You go 75, they want to go 80. Speed limits are for safety, and if they want to go faster, that's their problem. I will never risk safety for someone to feed their speed need. You know, it's my road too!
Are you saying you let cars pile up up behind you if you are doing 55 and then don't worry about it? That doesn't sound fair.
