Here is something RVers could do for Christmas

Always thought RVs would make a perfect canvas for a Christmas float much like some of us do for our boat parades.

Hang a black cloth over the sides so that you won't get distracting light off the white sides or graphics. Make a lightweight frame with PVC pipe & a lightweight screen. Put your lights in whatever design/theme you have on the screen.

Off you go.

Here are some pics from our Bermuda Boat Parade Saturday night. Being in the dark really makes them effective. To do it on land street lights would need to be off.

The winning entry. The boat is only 20' long

  • Hi VeeByes! Merry Christmas - those are some awesome light displays! Thanks for sharing! ST
  • I did the boat parade thing a few times too. Lots of work but we had an absolute blast during the parade.

LadyRVer - It looks like you're in Florida. Here's a list I found. Looks like this weekend is a good one for viewing - http://www.floridabywater.com/holiday-boat-parade

It is an awful lot of work for just a couple of hours of show. We did it for 6 straight years before we bought the RV.

The day starts like this, wondering where & how everything is going to get put on. Power is the least of our worrys. The boat has a 6kw diesel generator.
