Skip; good on you for still jumping on the bike to travel long distances! I have been a bike enthusiast my whole life. I got my first new one at age 13. I have taken many long trips over the years. I don't think I could travel 2800 in a week now days. My longest day when younger was 650 miles.
Sorry to hear about your accident, but sounds like you are mending. It will take some time, but hope you continue to ride.
