Skip, I am so sorry about your deer encounter, and that you have to go back in the hospital again! When I was younger (much!) hit a dog at 60 on my bike. Bike stayed in one place and I flew. Landed on my head and shoulder in the sand at the side of the road rather than the pavement on the busy highway I was riding on; and other than road rash and a terrible headache, I was "ok." I firmly believe my brother, who was killed in an auto accident the year before, saved me. I'm sure of it, so I completely understand what you are saying about Charlotte being there for you.
