  • I can't open the attachment, however, if it's about filming on public lands.......film away!
  • I don't see it as an issue. Just about everywhere you go you're on video.
And, if you do something, there's always someone with a camera phone recording you.
  • Read the forum. Comments are hilarious!

Few years ago when we first moved to our current house, I was driving down one of the roads (it was summer) and the corn fields were lush green. About that time a helicopter burst over the corn field and was so low, I thought he was going to hit my car. And he was just circling the field. Kind of freeky.

I asked my neighbor about this and said it was quite common for DEA to fly over the cornfields. They were searching for marijuana growing in the middle of the fields! Big brother watching MY car as I was driving down the road ... nah! I'm too insignificant.

And if I stopped along the edge of the road and ran a couple rows into the corn field to "relieve" myself, and the helicopter decided to fly over head! Well, I'd probably give him a "moon!"

Surveillance cameras in National Forests ... absolutely yes. I believe that and am not surprised. They are looking for illegal activity, poachers, and drug activity. (more than likely, poachers taking wildlife. If they want MY photo, when I'm taking a 'wiz' behind a tree.... well ... go ahead! If this floats their boat, I suppose I just be adding more water!
  • kinda on topic. There was another thread that stated that a CG had a webcam feed of the CG on their website.

Yes it would be informative for some of us to really see the inside of a CG to decided whether we would want to stay there. BUT, I question it and wonder if when you check into that privately owned CG if it is stated to the camper that a live webcam streaming on the internet is in place.

Certainly not paranoid but somewhere in space and time this surveillance stuff has got to stop. Last time I looked We DO still have privacy rights.

....regarding on government owned land? Well we all know how that goes. :(
  • Based on a 2010 "article" and except for the presumably original source above, only found at anti-government websites.

    Puh-leeze!
