That high pressure works on alot of first timer rv people cause they never know what they truly want :) they don't know their best floorplan, or camping style, or needs in truth.
you are the experienced one they got that would never fall for any of it.
We know point blank what we desire in a rig the minute we step onto the lot and tell the salesman just that. If it doesn't suit exactly what we know we want then no biz is happening, if you have what we want, AHH, the money will changes hands very fast if our desire is there :)
just sales and newbies and old hats all playing the game I think.
